Therefore several costing methods need to be used: a costing model should be able to ‘push’ and ‘pull’ costs and complexity needs to be modeled easily without long and heavy implementation. At B&M we use each appropriate technique to deliver the results: activity based costing, direct costing, time-driven activity-based costing.

Tackling the complexity of activities on a multidimensional level allows shareholders to actually get to know the real cost of their operations. Time-driven activity-based costing allows this detailed modeling without having a long-term implementation/maintenance path. No matter what business you are in, the complete value chain can be modeled to identify cost, profit and unused capacity over all departments.
