History

B&M Consulting has become a preferred partner for Strategic Coaching and implementing the Balanced Scorecard, Activity-Based Costing, Value-Based Management and Financial Reporting, Planning and Budgeting.

Combining theory and practice and taking best of both worlds, led Werner Bruggeman, a professor in management accounting and control at the Ghent University and the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and Kris Moreels, an experienced consultant in Activity-Based Costing to start B&M Consulting in 1998. Both were convinced that companies had a need for leading edge, but at the same time, practical solutions for management accounting and control. As leading authorities in their field they realised numerous successful ABC-projects, strategy developments and Balanced Scorecard implementations.

Throughout the years, B&M Consulting has grown organically and experts have been hired in other specialisations such as strategic management, accounting information systems, financial planning and budgeting, Value-Based Management, organisation structure design and change management to complement the already existing knowledge and expertise.

The constant search for new developments in the field of management accounting and control has led B&M Consulting to become the European pioneer for Time-Driven ABC, a new breakthrough approach in cost systems design. B&M Consulting was the first to implement this new approach successfully in Europe and co-organised the first European Time-Driven ABC Summit.
